Beloit College, 1926. Adored Classics professor Teddy Wright is found naked and barely alive under a window in a North Hall classroom. The coroner claimed he died of natural causes; President Mauer wondered if his death was more nefarious. Beloit College 2024. Nine Beloit College students come together in a Documentary Theatre class to examine the case. After studying the evidence and collaborating with 20 musicians, they stage hunches and ghost stories. They end up unearthing the soul of their college, realizing they – themselves– are part of a unique legacy. A haunting story that asks what being alive actually means.

The Curate Shakespeare – April 16-18, & 23-25, 2026

Curate Shakespeare 2026 by Don Nigro
Studio One, Hendricks Center for the Arts

Order tickets for The Curate Shakespeare.

What happens when a roving band of rag-tag actors take on the Bard’s As You Like It? A little catastrophe. A little despair. And, a LOT of laughter. You’ll be rolling in the aisles as the Curate’s company makes rubble of one of Shakespeare’s cornerstones. Regardless whether you love or hate the works of Shakespeare, you will fall in love with these hapless actors who somehow discover the spontaneous magic of theatre. This time, Rosalind’s romantic tale is a riotous romp through the Forest of Arden.
