When traveling on I-90/I-39, please note that you will be required to pay tolls in the state of Illinois. Please review toll rates on the route you will be traveling and prepare accordingly.
Follow I-90, take exit 185A, and head west. This puts you at the southernmost end of I-43, which becomes Beloit’s Milwaukee Road. Continue west on Milwaukee Road towards the City of Beloit.
After the railroad crossing, follow the left-turn sign for Beloit College and continue on Milwaukee until you get to Chapin Street. Turn right. Go five blocks until you hit College Street, and turn left. Middle College will be in front of you.
Take exit 2 for Hart Road, and turn left (south) at the first roundabout. Pass the second roundabout, then turn right at the third roundabout onto Gateway Boulevard, which becomes Beloit’s Milwaukee Road. Continue west on Milwaukee Road towards the City of Beloit.
After the railroad crossing, follow the left-turn sign for Beloit College and continue on Milwaukee Road until you get to Chapin Street. Turn right. Go five blocks until you hit College Street, and turn left. Middle College will be in front of you.
The Coach USA/Van Galder Bus Company provides bus service to the Beloit area from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and downtown Chicago.
The Van Galder stop is the McDonalds/FasMart Travel Plaza on the east side of the IL-75 & I-90/I-39 interchange in South Beloit, Illinois, approximately 1.75 miles from campus.
If coming from O’Hare Airport, buses pick up passengers in both the O’Hare Airport International Terminal as well as the Bus/Shuttle Center. The bus ride between O’Hare and Beloit is about 1.5 hours.
If coming from Downtown Chicago, buses pick up at the Amtrak Station which is at the corner of Jackson/Canal on the Canal Street side. The bus ride between downtown Chicago and Beloit is approximately 2.25 hours.
We recommend using Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. From O’Hare, it’s an easy 70-mile drive to Beloit. O’Hare is also convenient via bus.
You may also consider flying into Milwaukee or Madison airports. No regional bus service runs directly between Beloit and these airports, so you’d need to arrange your own transportation.
