Student groups and activities

Sustainability resources

  • Students lead projects to undertake real sustainability improvements on campus with the Revolving Loan Fund, a committee that evaluates and awards low-interest loans for sustainability initiatives on campus.
  • Students borrow camping gear or other outdoor stuff from the Gear Shack and head outside.

Campus facilities

  • Native plantings and rain gardens: Campus is full of sustainable landscaping, which students can enjoy and study.
  • Greenhouse: Space in the Sanger Center for the Sciences in which plants are grown for teaching and research purposes.
  • Buccaneer Boathouse: A facility on the Rock River with canoes and kayaks for student use. Borrow a bicycle to cruise through Riverside Park to the boathouse.
