New Scholarships for Wisconsin’s Top Students

Over Homecoming weekend and in the midst of an inaugural City-College Conference held on campus in September, President Scott Bierman announced the creation of the Wisconsin Distinguished Scholar Award.

The $25,000 per year scholarships will be awarded to top Wisconsin high school seniors with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher who have been accepted at Beloit. The award could be worth up to $100,000 over a student’s career.

“Beloit is one of this country’s finest liberal arts colleges,” Bierman said. “We want and need to make it more accessible to home state students from Beloit to Bayfield, Sister Bay to Somerset.”

Students applying for spots in the class of 2020 will be the first group eligible to receive the awards.
