Chris Fink, professor of English at Beloit, contributed “Hope Is in the Asparagus Patch,” a piece that ties together a world before and after quarantine through the meticulous practice and wonder of gardening.

Hollars is an associate professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
