Make48 competition searching for thinkers, doers, creators
Make48, the popular PBS creator/inventor series, is coming to Beloit in November and is searching for thinkers, doers, and creators.
Make48 is a 48-hour competition where teams are presented with a challenge and tasked to build a physical prototype, create a sales sheet, produce a 1-minute marketing video and pitch their big idea to a panel of judges.
Get a team together (2-4 people) and apply by Oct. 3. No experience is necessary. With access to expert tool technicians and high-tech equipment, competing teams will have the power to build almost anything. Students, friends, parents, grandmas, teammates, are all encouraged to apply.
The first-place team wins $2,000 and advances to the National Competition for Season 6 of Make48 PBS series.
Beloit College has partnered with the City of Beloit, businesses, and local entrepreneurs to discover homegrown talent. Make48 will host the competition at The Lincoln Academy in Beloit, WI.
