Description / Biography
Josh Moore is the Senior Director of Global and Immersive Learning and Director of the Weissberg Program in Human Rights and Social Justice.
Josh oversees Beloit College’s study abroad program, which offers semester-long study as well as three-week Global Experience Seminars in the summer. The Weissberg Program welcomes speakers throughout the year as well as opportunities for off-campus learning around pressing issues of local, national and global importance.
Josh has worked in international education, intercultural communication, conflict transformation, and experiential learning since 1997, when he began working with the Minnesota International Center. Since then, he has served four years as Associate Director for Study Abroad and Communication with the ACI Baobab Center, in Dakar, Senegal, and eleven years as Associate Director of International Education at Beloit College. He is a certified conflict mediator and works with students and colleagues on constructive and restorative ways of approaching conflict and harm.
Josh holds a BA in International Relations & Development from the University Minnesota - Twin Cities, and a master’s degree from the Joan B. Kroc Institute of International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
