Once a Beloiter, always a Beloiter

Hello Beloiters!

They raised a glass at C-Haus, visited classes, marched in the parade, and celebrated their accomplishments together. More than 400 alumni spent their weekend reconnecting with old friends and celebrating their shared histories as Beloiters. Beloiter Days celebrated the reunion classes of 1973 (50th), 1998 (25th) and 2013 (10th). Even the first pups had their moment, with a meet-and-greet Saturday afternoon before the evening’s final event, a dinner bash at the Powerhouse followed by drinks, dancing, and dessert.

Receiving honors were Kidan Araya’13, who received the Young Alumni Award; and Jessica Fox-Wilson’98 and Al Gerhardstein’73, who received Distinguished Service Citations, and the former college editor, Susan Kasten, who was made an honorary alumna. The late Dawn Sturdevant Baum’98 also was honored with a Distinguished Service Citation posthumously; her younger brother, Jake Swamp, received the award on her behalf.

In addition, the college inducted four new members into the Buccaneers’ Hall of Honor during the weekend. The 2023 class includes Derek Carrier’12, Angela Molnar’03, Scott Schleich’93, and Shelly Wiegel’94.
