Hello Beloiters! Advising for the fall 2024 semester starts on March 27 and runs through the start of course registration on April 9.Take some time this week to work with your faculty advisor on your academic plan and find your courses for next semester.

Also consider summer programs and opportunities like the Center for Language Studies, the Center for Collections Care, and the Pakula Biomedical Fellowship program.

Schools office hours this week

Leaders of the college’s four new schools will be at the Powerhouse this week from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. to answer questions for current students. All students, regardless of major, may engage with schools in a variety of ways.

Representatives will be located at the table just outside the Bristo Keep at the Powerhouse.

The college is creating the schools to help students build on the liberal arts curriculum by bringing career pathways to the center of students’ college experience, linking classes with career-focused advising and programming, pre-professional experiential learning opportunities, and specialized credentials.

Seniors: last chance for speaker and performances

Beloit College Senior Officers are searching for a student Commencement speaker who can inspire and represent the graduating class. If you know someone from the senior class with a compelling story, unique experiences, or a passion for motivating their peers, please nominate them, or self-nominate.

The Senior Class Officers also invite members of the Senior class to participate in the Beloit’s Got Talent event shortly before Commencement. Whether you are a singer, dancer, musician, magician, comedian, or more, it’s your last chance to share the stage before you go your separate ways.

Contact Lorriane Pedroza (pedrozal@beloit.edu) or Tiffany Warren (warrenta@beloit.edu) for either topic by April 1.
