Learning from students’ work and experiences

Vu Anh Le '25 presents on radioactive waste-infused wells, starting with a reference to the movie Oppenheimer.Vu Anh Le ’25 presented at last year’s Student Research Symposiums, using Oppenheimer to lead into a presentation on monitoring the treatment of wells infused with radioactive waste from nuclear testing and spent fuel.

Hello Beloiters! Symposium Week is here. Students are putting the finishing touches on their presentations chronicling their experiences studying away, through jobs and internships, and reporting on research opportunities. Check out the symposium program and plan your day around the presentations you want to see.

At noon, between symposium presentations, come to learn more about the new Center for Integrative Learning and cross-disciplinary blocks—sets of four courses that explore a particular topic or skill set. Pizza will be served!

Measuring student satisfaction

All Beloit College students are asked to complete the HEDS Student Satisfaction Survey this spring. Tell Beloit about your college experience in your own words. Results from last year already have helped the college make strategic choices about what to prioritize, and this year’s results will do the same.

You can respond by clicking on one of the individualized links you received by email from BeloitCollege@hedsconsortium.org. Students received their last reminder email this morning and have until April 20 to respond.

Were your dates ever this awkward?

Students may see a performance for free when they preorder a ticket in advance and present their college ID. Tickets are $5 for other students, $7 for seniors, faculty and staff, and first responders, and $10 for adults. Space is limited, so order your ticket today.
