April 8, 2022: The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students – Report for ARP/HEERF III Funds Expenditures for Quarter Ending 03/31/22
The U.S. Department of Education (the Department) requires each school applying for HEERF funds to comply with Section 314(e) of Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and submit an initial report to the Secretary thirty (30) days from the institution’s receipt of the funds and update it every quarter thereafter.
Since the Department has not issued instructions for providing the required information to the Secretary, each HEERF participating institution must post the following information on the institution’s primary website.
- Beloit College (the College) signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement on April 13, 2020. The College intends to use no less than 50 percent of the total funds received under Section 314(e) of CRRSAA to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
- The total amount of funds Beloit College received for American Rescue Plan (ARP)/Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III) was $1,404,256.
- For the quarter ending on March 31, 2022, the College distributed $654,401.06 to students under the ARP program.
- There were 888 Beloit College students enrolled for the Spring 2022 semester eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under Section 314(e) of CRRSAA.
- A total of 538 Beloit College students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant for students under the ARP program.
- The College determined they would consider eligibility for these ARP/HEERF III Emergency Financial Aid Grants on a case-by-case basis to address each student’s need on an individual level.
