Types of Aid

Understanding your options is key.

We work to offer our students a variety of options to make a Beloit College education affordable and accessible. Each financial aid package is created based on the student’s specific eligibility and may contain a combination of several types of financial aid, like scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment.

We feel that it is vital for our families to have a thorough understanding of the financial aid package so that they are making the best financial decisions for their family. At any point, we encourage families to reach out to us with their questions and concerns.

Gift Aid is free money that does not need to be repaid and comes in the form of a scholarship (merit-based) or a grant (need-based).

Student Loans are funds that are borrowed and repaid. There are several different programs available to help finance the cost.

Student Employment, more commonly referred to as Work Study, is money that is earned through a job on campus.
