Parent Information and Emergency Contacts

Staying connected with current student families is important for sharing information about annual events — like homecoming weekend — as well as updates from the college. The information shared in the Parent and Emergency Contacts form can be accessed for the following purposes:

  • Parent newsletter — sharing campus news and upcoming events
  • Emergency Communication System (ECM) — in the event of an emergency, the ECM will deliver information via voice, text, and email.
  • Student emergencies — In the unlikely event that a student finds themselves in an emergency situation, college officials will contact the names included in this form.

To complete this form, visit your Applicant Status Page.

Sexual Assault Awareness Assignment

To assist students in arriving on campus ready to start a safe and health college life, you are required to successfully complete a sexual assault awareness tutorial online and then attend a presentation and discussion during New Student Days. The tutorial link is found on your Portal page. It can be stopped and started, but at least an hour is needed to complete it. Regulations on this topic are found in the student handbook.

Student Immunization Record Form

All students are required to complete and submit an Immunization Record Form (coming soon). Having this information allows us to better meet your health care needs. If you have any questions about health forms, please email healthcenter@beloit.edu or call (608)363-2331.

Health Insurance

To ensure all Beloit College students have adequate medical and mental health care, all students will be opted-in to Beloit’s Wellfleet student health insurance.

The 2024-25 yearly student health insurance cost is $2,274, with $953 billed to students for the fall semester and $1,321 for the spring. Opt-in health insurance and competitive vendor vetting allow Beloit College to better manage healthcare coverage costs.

Students who are covered by other, comparable medical insurance have until July 15, to complete an online opt-out waiver.

  • Should you decide to waive coverage, Wellfleet will need to confirm your coverage before the waiver is approved.
  • If you have Medicaid coverage from any state, you may opt out of Wellfleet coverage.
  • If you have a medical plan whose costs you share with others, such as Medishare, you must accept the Wellfleet coverage.
  • If you are an international student, you will automatically be enrolled in this coverage as required by your visa.
  • Your healthcare coverage must be confirmed annually.

Whether you have your own insurance plan, or choose to enroll in the college’s plan, please note that you are responsible for paying your own medical expenses. Any medical expenses incurred will be billed to you and/or your insurance by the healthcare providers you see. Do not send insurance claims to the Health and Wellness Center or Athletics. Please plan to bring a copy of your insurance card and carry it with you at all times.

Health Insurance

All Beloit College students are required to show proof of health insurance coverage for the 2022-2023 academic year, or enroll in the Wellfleet health insurance plan. If proof of insurance form (waiver) or enrollment in the Wellfleet plan (selection) is not completed by the deadline, students will be enrolled in the Wellfleet plan and $849 will be billed to their students account. Insurance charges cannot be removed from the tuition bill.
