Financial Aid Preparation
You should have received information on your Applicant Status Page about any financial aid you qualify to receive. Some students need to submit additional documents to confirm their financial aid eligibility. Students who need to submit documents can view a list of required documents on their Applicant Status Page.
Please complete the loan counseling and Master Promissory Notes (MPN) for any loans you may have been offered:
Students who have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are eligible to borrow a Direct Loan. The Direct Loan program allows students to borrow a fixed amount each year, determined by grade level, up to the maximum aggregate total. The loan(s) may be subsidized or unsubsidized, depending on your eligibility.
If you wish to accept a Direct Loan, you must complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling at www.studentaid.gov.
The Financial Aid Office will evaluate a student’s demonstrated need during the financial aid process. A loan will be included in your financial aid package, if you’re eligible.
If you wish to utilize the Beloit College Loan or Strong Loan, you must complete the necessary steps to accept the loan with our loan servicer, University Accounting Service at UASConnect.com. University Accounting Service will contact you by email when your loan is ready for you to accept. After you receive an email notification from University Accounting Service, you will create an account and will be presented with the steps necessary to complete the loan acceptance process.
Verification Forms
Every year, the U.S. Department of Education selects about one-fourth of all FAFSA applications to be verified. If your FAFSA is chosen for verification, you will be individually asked by the Financial Aid office to submit additional documentation as well as to complete a verification worksheet. Beloit College is prohibited from disbursing federal aid to you until this process is complete.
Student Financial Records Release Form
Due to Federal student privacy regulations (FERPA), Beloit College can only discuss your financial account information with you, the student.
If you want to allow family members to access and discuss your student financial records with Beloit College, please complete the Student Financial Records Information Release Form. Completed forms should be summited to the Financial Aid office by visiting our office (Pearsons Hall, second floor) or by securely uploading your completed form.
