The former power plant now houses our student union and athletic center. It’s where our artists, athletes, and every one of our multi-hyphenate Beloiters in between meet, eat, play, and practice.
The 120,000-square-foot facility features theater, classroom, and meeting spaces. There’s also a running track, 8-lane competition swimming pool, and plenty of other areas to work out and rest up.

A newly revamped campus Spirit Store is open at the Powerhouse, combining Beloit College merchandise with the home of Campus Recreation. This store is in the same location as the previous store (street level of the Powerhouse).
At the Powerhouse Spirit Store, you can buy Beloit College apparel and swag, and current Beloiters can also check out a Sinnissippi cruiser, Gear Shack equipment for camping (sleeping bags & pads, tents, and more) and sports (equipment for pickleball, soccer, basketball, spike ball, bags/corn hole, disc golf, and more).
Bring your credit card to buy merchandise. Bring your Campus Rec App to check out Gear Shack and other Recreation items (free!).
