Support resources are available for students on and off campus. We encourage students to seek out the support that is best for them.
On-Campus Confidential Resources
Beloit College provides trained sexual assault counselors on campus who can legally keep a sexual assault discussion confidential. This gives students complete control over their decisions to report a sexual assault/misconduct incident. The counselors will supply students with information regarding medical care and counseling options.
(Responders are not required by law to file an official report if told about sexual misconduct/assault unless the individual is under the age of 18).
Counseling Center
The services of the on-campus counseling center are free to current Beloit College students. The Counseling Center is located on the second floor (south side) of the Powerhouse, and is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm while classes are in session.
During business hours (M-F, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.):
Contact the Counseling Center at the Health and Wellness Center directly at 608-363-2331. Campus counselors are confidential resources.
During Nights & Weekends:
Contact Security who can put you in contact with a confidential resource at 608-363-2355. Please note that Security officers are not confidential resources.
Health & Wellness Center
The Health and Wellness Center, located on the second floor (south side) of the Powerhouse, is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome. If you would like to make an appointment with the Nurse or Nurse Practitioners please call: 608-363-2331

Beloit College’s Title IX Coordinator, Cecil Youngblood, can be contacted to explain the investigative and judicial process. The Title IX Coordinator is not a confidential resource.

Off-Campus Resources
Seek Medical Treatment
If you have been assaulted, you may need medical treatment for injuries and may wish to have potential physical evidence collected. The Beloit Memorial Hospital or Janesville Mercy Hospital can request an advocate from the Sexual Assault Recovery Program (SARP) to be with you at the hospital.
Sexual Assault Recovery Program (SARP)
SARP is a community based program whose trained advocates respond to the emergency room to support the victim. They will assist and guide the victim through the legal system as well as provide free sexual assault crisis counseling. The 24 hour crisis hotline is 1-866-666-4576.
