Explore
History

Historians study the past to understand the present and dream for the future.

Explore.

A history degree invites exploration. Discover the past in archives, libraries, museums, movies, and novels. Investigate the histories of Beloit, Chicago, Istanbul, Shanghai, or Paris.

Interpret.

History majors at Beloit decode documents and artifacts from the Beloit College Archives, the Logan Museum, the Newberry Library, the Austrian State Archives, and countless others. Develop your own analyses of the evidence for worldviews, decisions wars, and cultural exchanges in the past.

Share.

Present your findings in public presentation and carefully crafted research papers. Apply your skills to internships, research with faculty, website design, library or museum work.
