The Logan Museum of Anthropology is one of two teaching museums at Beloit College. The collections are central to the curriculum of Beloit College and the museum has served as a student laboratory and center of experiential learning since its founding in 1894.

The museum is available for faculty in anthropology, museum studies, and other disciplines to bring their students to look at materials in the collections.

Collections from around the world are displayed and studied in a glass space known as The Cube in the Logan Museum.

Beloit students are active in the museum. They help to identify materials, curate exhibits, and preserve objects in the Logan Museum collections.

The Logan Museum is proud to be one of two academic museums in Wisconsin accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

Student involvement through the Anthropology Department, Museum Studies Program, museum assistantships, field opportunities and course integration of collections make the museum a unique learning resource.

Each year over 1,000 students from diverse disciplines makes use of the museum’s exhibits and collections for research, the inspiration for original works, or the practice hands-on skills in object preservation.
