Beloiters attend the Wisconsin Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies conference
On April 4, the School of Global and Public Service (GPS) and the Weissberg Program in Human Rights and Social Justice sent sixteen students to Marquette University for an all-day conference on peace and conflict studies.
On April 1, 2025, the School of Global and Public Service (GPS) hosted representatives from the U.S. Army War College as part of the Eisenhower Series College Program.
Graduates pursue master’s degrees in a wide variety of fields, including administration, development, education, human rights, international affairs, public health, public policy, and social work. Other graduates opt to go to law school.
Graduates find employment in a wide variety of fields in public, private, and non-profit sectors.

Fifty years on from the 1974 Peru Seminar, participants look back and consider how that adventure in South America forged lasting connections and shaped their lives.
Lirio Hittle’86 and Samir Goswami’98 visited Beloit College to participate in classes and offer professional advice. Students were particularly interested in careers in diplomacy, security, climate policy and advocacy, foreign policy, international law, human rights, and international development.
Taylor Luck’07 lives in and reports from the Middle East. His 17 years there have been marked by wars, refugee crises, and extremism, but he has also found generosity, dignity, and hope, reinforcing his faith in our common humanity and borderless values.
