Visitors from the Army War College
On April 1, 2025, the School of Global and Public Service (GPS) hosted representatives from the U.S. Army War College as part of the Eisenhower Series College Program.
The Eisenhower Series College Program is an outreach program run by the Army War College with a goal of improving civil-military relations. This is the first year that Beloit participated in the program.
Lt. Colonel Frank Hartnett (U.S. Air Force), Colonel Amanda Ranney (Washington National Guard), and Lt. Colonel Lee Turcotte (U.S. Air Force) spoke at a panel on April 1. They gave brief presentations on three specific U.S. national security challenges - China, the aftermath of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and disinformation - and then answered questions from the audience.
The following day, they spoke to Beth Dougherty’s Introduction to International Relations class and then had lunch with a group of students.
The visit was sponsored by the School of Global and Public Service.
