Strongly recommended:
While Beloit does not require letters of recommendation, we value the insight they give us into your ability, character, interests, and potential, as well as individual circumstances that may have affected you personally or academically. For that reason, we strongly encourage you to submit at least one, and we will read up to three.
We encourage you to request a recommendation from the academic teacher who will provide the admissions committee with the most insightful perspective of you as a student.
Optional:
Beloit is unabashedly test-optional for both admission and consideration for merit scholarships.
If you feel that your test scores reflect well on your abilities and would like us to consider them, please send them. We will consider your highest subscores from multiple test dates.
You may submit test scores via the testing agency (SAT code: 1059 / ACT code: 4564) or your official secondary school transcript.
You may upload digital creative files (poetry, photography, art, etc.) through the online applicant status page. While you may also mail physical items to the Admissions Office, please note that these items cannot be returned.
You may schedule a one-on-one meeting with an admissions counselor in order to learn more about us and to allow us to get to know you better. Reach out to your admissions counselor to set up a virtual visit.
You may also send us your pre-recorded interview from our partners at InitialView or Vericant.
It is our expectation that students submit materials and apply online through the Common Application, the Beloit College Application, or the Coalition Application through Scoir. However, if necessary, we will accept supporting materials online, by mail, or scanned and sent in PDF format to schoolforms@beloit.edu.
