Who should apply as a transfer student?

If you have completed your high school education or equivalent, have enrolled at a college or university, and have received or will receive credit by the time of your matriculation, it is a federal requirement that you apply as a transfer student.

Some transfer students enter with an associate degree and graduate in two years. Others are looking for a full, four-year experience that they didn’t get at another institution. Your transfer experience is your own, and we will work with you to find the right path forward.

Transfer students entering Beloit College with fewer than 12 semester hours of transfer credit will be enrolled in first-year advising programs.

The transfer application process

Applying as a transfer is fast and straightforward. All most applicants need to submit is a completed application and official transcripts.

Transfer students are welcome to apply to begin in either the fall or spring semester, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so you should apply when you’re ready.

Will my credits transfer?

Beloit College will apply up to 15 units (60 semester hours/90 quarter hours) of transfer credit from accredited colleges and universities toward a student’s degree. Courses with a grade of “C” or better are eligible for transfer credit.

Students who have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree automatically fulfill Beloit College’s domain and skill graduation requirements.
