You should apply as a transfer student if you’ve completed your high school education or equivalent, have enrolled at a college or university, and have received or will receive credit by the time of your matriculation. Transfer applicants entering Beloit College with fewer than 12 semester hours of transfer credit will be enrolled in first year advising programs.

Application components
Required:
We accept the Beloit College Application or the Transfer Common Application.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended.
- It is recommended that transcripts from any dual enrollment coursework completed in high school should also be submitted for credit consideration.
- A high school transcript is required for admission if less than 24-36 credit hours (2 semesters of full-time study) have been completed. Anyone with less than 60 credit hours will be required to submit a high school transcript upon enrollment at college
Required for international transfer applicants:
Beloit College practices a need-aware admission policy. This means that an applicant’s demonstrated financial need is reviewed as part of the application evaluation process for admission. Beloit offers generous merit and need-based financial aid to international transfer applicants, but need-based aid does become more competitive as an applicant’s demonstrated financial need increases. All applicants will be considered for merit-based scholarships. Requirements for financial support documentation can be found on the international student application requirements page.
Strongly recommended:
While Beloit does not require letters of recommendation, we value the insight they give us into your ability, character, interests, and potential, as well as individual circumstances that may have affected you personally or academically. For that reason, we strongly encourage you to submit at least one, and we will read up to three.
We encourage you to request a recommendation from a recent college instructor if possible.
Optional:
While not required, we encourage you to submit any of the following as a way of enhancing your application:
- SAT and/or ACT scores, AP or IB exam results
- Additional recommendations from others who know you or have worked with you, such as coaches, employers, and community members.
- Transfer college report
- Mid-term report
- Final report
- Course syllabi and/or course descriptions
- Creative samples
