Merit Scholarships

Applicants to Beloit are considered for up to $42,000 per year in academic merit scholarships.

Beloit College recognizes academic achievement, talent, leadership, community engagement, and service — and potential in all of these areas. Scholarships are awarded based on the overall strength of a student’s application and their potential impact in the Beloit community.

Our merit scholarships attract students who are well-prepared for the academic rigor of a Beloit education, creating a vibrant community of future scholars, leaders, and innovators.

All first-year applicants are automatically considered for the following academic merit scholarships:

  • The Presidential Scholarship is one of Beloit’s most prestigious academic honors. Selection is based on exceptional academic achievement and the potential for continued success as a scholar and contributor to campus life.
  • The Eaton Scholarship recognizes students who have achieved outstanding academic success and shown significant leadership qualities.
  • The Deans’ Award is offered to students who demonstrate exceptional promise for success, both in the classroom and in making meaningful contributions to campus life.

There are no additional steps to be considered for academic merit scholarships. Awards are  given primarily based on unweighted, reported GPA using the ranges shown below. Test scores are not required for merit scholarship consideration.
