In compliance with the Department of Education regulations authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA), Beloit College offers access to a complaint process to address violations of laws or policies. 

Students who believe they have been subject to unjust actions or denied of their rights should first review the Grievance Procedures and make a reasonable effort to resolve the matter before seeking formal resolution through the grievance process.

The student should request a meeting with the parties directly involved, describing the nature of the grievance and a desirable resolution. Parties are encouraged to try to find a reasonable and satisfactory resolution.
