Parking enforcement in student parking lots
Security is enforcing parking permits in the student parking lots. If you are parked in a student parking lot, and don’t have a 23/24 student parking permit, you are likely to receive a warning ticket or fine.
There are still a few student parking permits available (at time of posting). If you wish to park in the student parking lots, go to the Portal and apply for a parking permit before we run out of permits. We only issue as many permits as there are student parking spaces.
For those with permits
If you have been awarded a permit, but have not yet picked it up at Security, please pick it up as soon as possible. If you have your permit, but have not yet put it on the inside of the rear window of your vehicle, please do so as soon as possible. If you have a tinted rear window that is too dark to see your permit from outside of the vehicle, move your permit to the bottom driver’s side or top of the windshield, where the permit will be visible, but not impede your vision while driving.
Emerson Street
Note that the 700 block of Emerson Street is not a student parking area, so it is designated No Overnight Parking. If students park overnight on the 700 block of Emerson Street, you will also receive a warning ticket for no overnight parking.
Faculty & staff
Faculty and staff should not park in student parking spaces.
About tickets
- $25.00 tickets for parking in assigned spaces, student parking areas without a student permit, no overnight parking, or parking in a fire lane.
- $50.00 tickets for parking in a handicapped stall, or adjacent striped stall for wheelchair lifts, will be issued to anyone without an approved disabled placard on their rear view mirror or disabled license plates.
