Course evaluations
All students are asked to fill out a course evaluation form for each class. Most invitations will be sent December 2nd. Save the email to respond during class time.
What is the timing this fall?
If your professor has requested a specific time, you may receive your course evaluation email then. If not, you will receive the email invitations to respond on Monday, December 2 at 8am. You can save the email until it is time to respond. The opportunity to respond ends on midnight on the last day of classes (except in rare cases requested by the professor.)
What is the course evaluation for?
This course evaluation form provides you with the opportunity to reflect on your experience in this course. It also provides the College with important feedback about the quality of its curriculum, instruction, and programming, which we use to improve how we teach at the college.
Who will see my responses?
Your responses are anonymous, and can’t be tied to you individually (unless you write comments that someone would know could be you).
Your responses will be read by your instructor and your instructor’s department or program chair. They may also be read by the Faculty Status and Performance Committee and the Dean of the College for courses taught by faculty members who are being considered for reappointment, tenure, and promotion.
Your instructor will not see your answers until after they have submitted grades for the course.
What do I have to do?
We expect you to provide honest and thoughtful feedback. We expect you to complete the form, in class, with the time provided (your professors are expected to provide time in class). In rare circumstances, you won’t be able to respond in class. In that case, you can respond on your own anytime until midnight on the last day of classes.
