Need a cool course to fill your fall schedule?

Complete your course requirements with something new! Many classes don’t require a prerequisite, and you can change the world, start a business, rewrite a classic, or write an original song! 

Here are some interesting courses offered in the spring semester with one or zero prerequisites. 

  • Speculative Activism CRIS 256 01 - Learn to make individual and structural change without burning out in the process. If you’re someone who likes fighting to make the world better, this is the course for you. 
  • Gods and Monsters ENG 194 01 - Analyze famous texts and discuss how current writers modernize and change stories of classic pieces gods, monsters, slaves, and power so they are more relevant today.
  • Exploring Genre: Rap/Hip-Hop MDST 270 01 - Investigate the evolution and popularity of rap by researching, listening, and writing your own songs.
  • Stagecraft PART 140 01 - Learn the basic technical skills for theater productions and operate the design and construction tools to create them.
  • Intro to Entrepreneurship PRAX 202 01 - Develop your startup skills: financing, planning, marketing, and negotiating. Entrepreneurship is for everyone!
