Alumni Authors: Madeline Roux’08, NY Times Bestselling Novelist
Madeline Roux’08 is the New York Times bestselling author of the ASYLUM series. She received her bachelor’s degree at Beloit in 2008, majoring in Creative Writing and Acting. Her first novel, Allison Hewitt is Trapped, was named a Teen Indie Next List Pick. She is also the author of the House of Furies series and has made contributions to Star Wars, World of Warcraft, and New Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
In the spring of 2009, Madeleine completed an Honors Term at Beloit, proposing, writing, and presenting a full-length historical fiction novel. Shortly after, she began the experimental fiction blog, Allison Hewitt Is Trapped. Her work quickly spread throughout the blogosphere, bringing a unique serial fiction experience to readers.
