Attorney – Trustee
Distinguished attorney, prominent civic leader, devoted friend of higher education – you also are an ever loyal son of your Alma Mater. Holder of a law degree from Wisconsin, you have been in private practice in Minnesota since 1947 and are a recognized authority on the law of corporations and cooperatives. Your notable career includes service as a law professor, special assistant attorney general for milk marketing and active legal association member. Former national president of Tau Kappa Epsilon social fraternity, you have also headed the Minneapolis Unity Settlement Association and St Paul Group Health Federal Credit Union; in addition, you have been a church trustee and public-school citizen committee vice chairman. After a term as Alumni Trustee, you were elected to the College Board of Trustees in 1960 and have rewarded this confidence with loyal, imaginative and understanding service, especially as chairman of the Committee on Education. In testimony of your many accomplishments and with deep appreciation and profound respect, Beloit College takes great pleasure in awarding you this Distinguished Service Citation.
