These poems present encounters with wilderness, glimpses of the wild amid the human world, and meditations on the causes and effects of our changing climate.

Susan Turner Vogt ’83 in February with D’Artagnan, one of 26 wolfdogs she’s rescued and provided a home for at the Red Riding Hood Sanctuary for wolfdogs in Ohio. Dart is a low-content wolfdog, 34% Gray Wolf and varying percentages of Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, and German Shepherd. His blue eyes are most likely from Husky genes.
