Beloit alumna honored with law fellowship
Aryssa Harris ’21 took another important step in her professional journey. The Rappaport Law and Public Policy Fellowship provides outstanding law students with opportunities to work with experienced local and state policymakers and weekly experiential learning which introduce them to the major policy history and challenges, as well as key stakeholders.
The application and interview process to be selected was rigorous, but previous conversations with Aryssa could have easily predicted her selection for the ten-week program. She is one of 12 Fellows from eight Massachusetts law schools chosen to participate in the 2025 Rappaport Law and Public Policy Fellowship.
Harris ’21, a rising 3L at Boston University School of Law and doctoral student in Political Science, completed a B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science and Sociology during her time at Beloit College. She was also named APSA Diversity Fellowship Program Fellow and played women’s volleyball. Her most recent honor illustrates her continued desire to lead.
“My community motivates me to work hard. Making spaces for myself so that these spaces are then available for the people who come after me,” said Harris ’21 when interviewed during her time as an undergraduate student.
The Rappaport Center is funded through an endowment by the Phyllis & Jerome Lyle Rappaport Foundation.
