Role Summary: Art Nude Models model for ART 135: Figure Drawing. In this course, students draw while observing live nude models in order to learn anatomy and proportion of the human body, and to explore the body as a subject in visual art. Models pose nude in front of a class of up to twenty students, holding a variety of positions (standing, sitting, lying down) for varying durations up to twenty minutes.

 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: Must be available Tuesdays OR Thursdays, 1:00–3:50. Work with professor to schedule dates to work. Work dates are flexible.

  1. Pose nude in front of a class of up to twenty students.
  2. Hold poses for up to twenty minutes. Models largely choose how to pose.



Credentials and Experience:

No previous experience required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness to pose nude in front of a class of up to twenty students.
  • Ability to hold poses for up to twenty minutes.
  • Ability to develop, and to contribute to, learning and work environments welcoming to people from a diverse variety of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty supervisor.
