Professor Warnke is currently the Distinguished Professor of Political Science at UC Riverside and Director of the Center for Ideas & Society. She formerly held posts in Philosophy at Yale (1982-1991) and at UC Riverside, where she also served as Chair (2002-2004), as well as a post in Women’s Studies at UC Riverside (2001-2004). Since 2005 she served as Associate Dean for Arts and Humanities in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

Professor Warnke’s research interests include critical theory, hermeneutics, democratic theory, and issues of race, sex and gender.
