Vitaly Komar
Vitaly Komar is a Russian-born painter and performance artist who moved to New York in the 70s. He attended the Moscow Art School, followed by the Stroganov Institute of Art and Design in Moscow. Komar’s work has been shown in over two dozen solo and group exhibitions at international galleries and museums including the Louvre in Paris. He was also one of the founders of the Sots Art movement (soviet Pop/Conceptual art) and a pioneer of multi-stylistic post-modernism.
