Hello, Beloiters! It feels great to have everyone together on campus again.

Remember to attend Convocation this afternoon to celebrate the start of the new academic year. New students should meet with their orientation leaders at 4:10 pm. The ceremony starts at 4:30 pm in front of the Science Center, followed by a picnic in Chapin Quad.

The Buccaneer football team’s season opener will be at Strong Stadium this Thursday. A free tailgate starts at 5:30 p.m., and the game will feature a t-shirt promotion for students and memorable halftime programming. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Our newest Executive in Residence is Emily Eagle’06, a user experience strategist with experience with SiriusXM, Nordstrom, and in the start-up space. Emily will be teaching Human Centered Design Thinking (MDST 250) this semester, focused on how UX designers connect the dots between people and technology.

The first pups Talulah, Jolene, and Vivi are on campus. For those who haven’t had a chance to meet them yet, you can see them in this fluffy and chaotic interview with President Eric Boynton

And finally, to keep up to date on what’s happening on campus, bookmark For Beloiters and explore the calendar.
