Hello Beloiters! We hope you enjoyed Friday’s festivities. From the Inauguration Ceremony at noon, to the Bash that closed out the day, Beloiters came out to celebrate the installation of Eric Boynton as our 12th president. If you want to see some photos and re-watch the ceremony, you can do so on the college’s Inauguration page.

Support your fellow Beloiters at the Beloit & Beyond Conference

Tomorrow is a big day on campus. While it’s a day off of classes, it’s a day on for learning. It’s the Beloit & Beyond Conference, when students share presentations on their experiences in study abroad, internships, volunteering, campus jobs, summer courses, and with research opportunities.

Check out the program and plan your day around what you want to learn more about while supporting your friends.

You also won’t want to miss presentations on the two new schools — The School of Health Sciences and the School of Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurship — that will launch in January. The presentations will be from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. in the atrium of the Sanger Center, followed by a celebratory reception from 12-1 p.m.

The School of Business will combine an interdisciplinary business curriculum with personalized career services to set you apart in the labor market and prepare you to enter the world of business or to launch startups. And joining the School of Health Sciences will prepare you for success in a multitude of health professions, including nursing, physical therapy, medical research, and public health.

Second play of the season opens Thursday

Check out one of the first three performances of Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson this week. “A delightful and witty romp with a classic duo re-envisioned to study the mysteries of friendship,” the show is the theatre department’s second in a season focused on crime and mystery. The play runs Thursday-Saturday and next weekend as well, Nov. 16-18.
