I am a first-generation college student. I double majored in psychology and liberal arts chemistry at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. I earned my MS and PhD in experimental psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. I recently finished a postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor University that focused on the interaction between sleep, neuroscience, and cognition. I joined the Beloit College psychology faculty as a visiting professor in Fall 2024. I’ll be joining as tenure track faculty in Fall 2025.

My research interests focus on the interaction between sleep disparities and the academic achievement gap in marginalized populations and how we can mitigate parts of the problem by supporting healthy sleep in our students.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, reading, and spending time with my dogs, Dany and Dolly.
