Work hard, play hard

A theatre performance: a couple awkwardly uses their phones while a bartender smiles behind them. The last three performances of First Date are this week at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. A buttoned-up banker and a bohemian artist? Leave it to the waiter to see a true connection in this musical poking fun at every awkward blind date.

Hello Beloiters! This is the last full week of classes for the spring semester. Good luck with all your end of the semester projects and papers! It’s a busy time of year – you’ve got this!

Have fun on Spring Day!

Spring Day is Wednesday, and with classes cleared away for the day, you can look forward to a full day of fun.

Thinking about your things…

Residence halls close for most students in two weeks, so do yourself a favor and start thinking about all the treasures and junk you’ve accumulated in the past year.

  • Seniors: have things you won’t need after graduation? Offer them to your friends returning next fall.
  • Start taking trash and recycling to the dumpsters near your residence hall starting now.
  • Bring old electronics and other e-waste to Mayer Hall from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday this week.
  • Offer things for sale or free on the classifieds-community google group (you need to join to post).
  • Donate items to local thrift stores, which are within walking and driving distance to campus.
