Congratulations, Class of 2025

Joe Davis '10 speaks to graduates at Beloit College's 2025 Commencement Ceremony. The Commencement ceremony for the Class of 2025 was a day full of friends, family, and smiles. Commencement speaker Joe Davis ’10 shared with the graduates, “All those answers are inside you, but the world is loud. The faster life speeds up and the more that we push, the more important it becomes to slow down, and listen.”

Hello Beloiters! Beneath a clear blue sky, with a breeze rustling banners and flags behind the stage, President Eric Boynton awarded diplomas to the Class of 2025 as Provost Donna Oliver read their names at the college’s 175th Commencement this past Sunday.

  • President Boynton addressed the Class of 2025: “You built something remarkable in these past four years: not just a degree, but a deeper understanding of who you are and what you’re capable of. You proved that uncertainty can be met with boldness. That resilience and joy can coexist.”
  • Jasmin Anna Bowers ’25 received the Martha Peterson Prize, awarded to a senior who best exemplifies the college’s liberal arts traditions through academic achievements and as an active contributor to the campus community.
  • Rafael (Rafa) Cervantes Jr. ’25 received the Warren Miller Blue Skies Award for bringing good cheer and genuine care to everything he did at Beloit.
  • Abhey Singh Guram ’25, student Commencement speaker, recalled the class’s arrival at college: ready to question traditions, push boundaries, and start a new chapter. “And now as that chapter comes to a close,” he told his classmates, “we stand here today, transformed. We may be stepping into a world that seems uncertain, but we are not stepping into it unprepared.”
  • Joe Davis ’10, stood on the Commencement stage for the first time and called it a special honor to return as commencement speaker. He spoke about the power of intention and the ways it helped him reach his position as a prominent sports broadcaster. He concluded with this message to the graduates: “dream big, dream crazy — you can achieve whatever you want!”
