Gabriel Bruno Eng Gonzalez ’20

Gabriel Bruno Eng Gonzalez ’20 is a choreographer whose work investigates digital attention and synthetic performance, with recent interests in looping, queer-time, and the aesthetics of the internet-troll. Drawing from dance, performance theory, and speculative fiction, Gonzalez choreographs looping systems where audiences engage as active editors, navigating experiences of overload and glitch. Gonzalez is a former Fulbright scholar (Taiwan), 2020 graduate of Beloit College, and a 2025 MFA graduate of the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. Gonzalez’s thesis performance and written work researched the politics of choreographed attention in hybrid desktop-stage environments.
