Sports recapMen’s Basketball took to Flood Arena against Ripon College on Tuesday. The Bucs had standout moments in a hard fought 59-46 loss, with Anthony Carter ’27 scoring a team-high 17 points. Women’s Basketball hit the court twice last week, securing a win against Rockford University and a loss against Ripon College. Julia Kennedy ’28 dominated against Rockford with a career-high 19 points, a major contribution to the 70-61 result. Men’s Hockey laced up twice this week against UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point. Goaltender Andrew Yocum ’27 totaled an impressive combined 97 saves in the two games. He was protected by defenseman Sam Holy ’26 who blocked five shots in the tough loss to Eau Claire. Forward Joe Weber ’27 attempted to shift the Bucs’ momentum, winning 60% of his faceoffs against Stevens Point, another display of defensive grit. Women’s Hockey faced off against UW-River Falls and UW-Stevens Point. At River Falls, the Bucs pushed hard to the end, losing 8-0. Forward Addison Gruhlke ’29 accounted for 60% of Beloit’s shots on goal, also recording four blocked shots. Beloit displayed resilience and strong stick work. They notched four goals against Stevens Point, including Madi Hoffman ’29 and Makenzee Kostiuk ’29 who scored their first goals of the season. Beloit ultimately fell in both games. Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving took on Illinois College and North Central College for their final meet of 2025. Jeremy Mueller ’27 took gold in two individual events, and Amelia Pullen ’26 secured a first place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 27.05. Beloit had two podium finishes in the Women’s 100 Yard IM, with Lylah Murrah ’27 placing first and Kelsey Gerstler ’28 placing second. |

In appreciation: LEADS celebrates peer-to-peer success![]() Learning Enrichment & Disability Services (LEADS) hosted a tutor celebration event, where the Tutor of the Term was celebrated. LEADS holds activities throughout the semester, on topics such as how to study for finals and journaling to decrease stress. Biology professor illustrates science with art![]() Beloit College students created an exhibition called Anatomy in Art, which features works they selected from the Wright Museum of Art’s collection. Helen M. Werner, professor of biology, facilitated this hands-on learning experience for her anatomy class throughout fall semester. The exhibition will be open between Dec. 5 and Dec. 20.
