Sports RecapMen’s Basketball battled hard, led by Owen Geiger ’29, who had a career game against Monmouth, netting 24 points. Austin Walker ’29 backed up Geiger with his own 10 points. Anthony Carter ’27 followed suit with 25 points against Grinnell, his own career high.
Women’s Basketball took the court twice in games where Hailey Johnson ’26 set the tone, finding the hoop for the Bucs with 23 points. Julia Kennedy ’28 tied her career-high scoring record and Kaitlin Davis ’27 nabbed 16 total rebounds, dazzling the home crowd despite the tough loss.
Men’s Hockey hit the ice twice last week in hard-fought matchups against UW-Stout. Valerii Kneib ’27 added to his season tally, scoring an eighth goal. Goaltender Andrew Yocum ’27 stayed strong between the pipes, denying his opponents 73 shots in the two games. On defense, the team recorded 26 total blocks.
Women’s Hockey took on UW-Stevens Point last week. Kennedy Grukle ’27 and Kylie Schryer ’28 rallied the stands with crucial goals. Fans stayed on the edge of their seats watching strong defensive performances from Natalie Gurr ’28 and Fianne Makela ’29, who contributed a total of 10 blocked shots. Track and Field competed at UW-Whitewater where Josh Yearby ’27 secured a first place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 22.24 and Men’s 4x200 Meter Relay dominated in their first place finish. The men’s and women’s teams took turns climbing the leaderboard: John Deary II ’28 earned third place in long jump with a personal best of 6.92 meters, Reagan Lamb ’29 unleashed a personal best in shot put with a 9.01 meter throw, and Naomee Casey ’27 cleared 2.90m in the pole vault to secure 5th place. Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving competed at the Wisconsin Private College Championships over the weekend. Elsa Gregory ’28 secured second and third place finishes in the 3-meter and 1-meter dives, and Lydia Nordgren ’28 flew down her lane to first place in the 100-yard butterfly. On the men’s side, Jeremy Mueller ’27 was a sprint standout, capturing gold in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. |

The challenge brought together students from across campus to tackle a real-world business problem through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. |
