You’ve learned all year together, challenging and supporting each other. Celebrate your efforts and campus excellence this week in events that showcase student accomplishments!

  • Mon., April 27, the School of Environment & Sustainability celebrates students who have earned Certificates of Completion in their End-Of-Semester Party 12:30-1:15 p.m. in Science Center, room 350.
  • Tues., April 28, the Beloit Fiction Journal hosts a Launch Party to unveil the spring ’26 issue and read teasers from upcoming pieces 4-5:30 p.m. in CELEB. Food and drinks provided.
  • Wed., April 29, many individuals and organizations make the Honors Day Celebration possible. Join in supporting this year’s student award recipients 4-5 p.m. in the Science Center.
  • That same evening, campus is invited to Last Call to celebrate the last day of classes. Begin with the annual Late Night Pancake Breakfast 9:30-10:30 p.m. at Hamiltons and then proceed to the Wall.

Sports Recap

Men’s Baseball had a productive week, sweeping Lawrence University and Edgewood University. Jordan Rosenberg ’26 was undeniably the story of the game against Edgewood, hitting two home runs and five RBIs. Jack Alport ’26 also contributed to the 11-2 win, hitting a two-run homer of his own. Ben Schweit ’27 pitched a complete game against Lawrence, striking out 11 batters in nine innings.

Women’s Softball celebrated Senior Day by winning game two of their doubleheader, 10-7, against Lake Forest College, their first win over Lake Forest since 2013. The offense rallied behind Kayle Witte ’26, who hit a two-RBI single. Pitcher Avary Briggs ’28 managed to keep the Foresters at bay, allowing only two earned runs in five innings.

Men’s Lacrosse capped off their season at home against Edgewood University. Liam Walker ’26 racked up the most points, two goals and an assist. Additionally, Cole Conway ’26, Sky Solig ’27, and George Haigley ’27 logged their names on the scoresheet. Goalie Christian Moore ’27 recorded 13 saves on the night, anchoring the defense.

Women’s Lacrosse finished their season at Edgewood University. Menah Garcia ’28 scored her fourth goal of the season, leading the team in shots on goal with two. Kim Pilon ’28 and Kylie Wolff ’28 collected an impressive total of seven ground balls, with Zoey Soost ’27 leading the team in caused turnovers with two.

Track and Field competed at the St. Norbert College Invitational over the weekend. For the women, sprinter Syniyah Quenga ’29 took second place in the 200 meters with a time of 25.56. Distance runner Simone de Montigny ’26 scored major points in the 5000 meters with a second place finish of 18:58. On the men’s side, Josh Martinez ’27 broke school records in the discus and hammer throw, placing second and fourth, respectively.

Community conversations and real world impact at Student Symposium Day

Students presented a diverse array of original research, internships, and study abroad projects at the fiftieth annual Student Symposium Day. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members attended the all-day conference in its fiftieth year. Throughout presentations illustrated the importance of community collaboration and sparked engaging conversations.

Beloit Ultimate Club descends on High Tide Tournament

The Beloit Ultimate Frisbee Family (BUFF) traveled to North Myrtle Beach for the High Tide spring break tournament, playing seven games against teams from across the country. The trip combined competition with team bonding, from games on the field to time spent together off it.
