Description / Biography

Craig Kohn has nearly 20 years of classroom teaching experience and research expertise in ecology, education, and agriculture. His current work focuses on developing and assessing science curricula that supports more informed and more sustainable decision-making. He was also a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and currently collaborates with NASA’s Climate Research Initiative and STELLA program.

Kohn completed dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Agriscience from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he also earned secondary teaching licenses in Biology, Agriculture, and Environmental Science. He has a dual Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Curriculum, Instruction, & Teacher Education, and in Environmental Science & Policy.

Kohn lives with his husband on a small farm halfway between Beloit and Milwaukee, where they grow crops and vegetables. His personal interests include backpacking in state and national parks, kayaking, canoeing, hunting, fishing, reading, and travel.
