Description / Biography

Now, as the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, I am excited to bring my diverse experiences to the SEAL Department to foster vibrant, inclusive, and engaging opportunities for students to grow as leaders both on campus and beyond.

As a native of the South Side of Chicago, I attended Beloit College, where I graduated in 2016 with a B.A. in English Literary Studies. As a first-generation college student and participant in TRIO SSS/SEL (Student Excellence and Leadership), I developed a passion for supporting students through their academic and personal journeys. I also played basketball here at Beloit College, which shaped my commitment to teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

Following graduation, I continued working in Beloit’s SEL department as a program coordinator while also achieving a dream of playing professional basketball in Japan in 2019. Upon returning to the U.S., I served as an assistant coach for Beloit College’s women’s basketball team before moving to Fulton, MO, where I became a Student Academic Success Specialist at William Woods University. During my time at William Woods (2021–2023), I also served as the assistant coach for the men’s basketball team, balancing my passion for student success with my love for the game.

In 2023, my dedication to supporting students academically and athletically continued when I transitioned to St. Louis, Missouri, to work as an Educational Advisor for TRIO Upward Bound at Harris-Stowe State University. There, I advised 60 college-bound high school students on college readiness, financial literacy, and other essential skills for success. During this time, I also earned my Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from William Woods University.

Now returning to my roots in student leadership, I’m excited to lead the SEAL department, where I hope to inspire students to embrace leadership, build community, and maximize their college experience both inside and outside the classroom.

In my free time, I enjoy working out, spending quality time with family and friends, gaming and watching sports. I am a Chicago fan! (Bears, Bulls, Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks).
