Description / Biography

Megan O’Connell is a second-year masters student at University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studies with Timothy Hagen. Winner of UW-Madison’s Summer Music Clinic Scholarship and UW-Whitewater’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition, Megan has undergraduate degrees in creative writing from UW-Madison (2009) and flute performance from UW-Whitewater (2015). Megan works as a music librarian on campus, and in her free time enjoys supporting local live music of all genres. On campus, she can be heard performing on flute and piccolo with the UW-Madison Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Early Music Ensemble.
