To apply to the McNair Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Full-time Beloit College student
• First-generation college student who meets federal low-income guidelines
  • * First Generation is defined as any student whose parent(s) or guardian(s) did NOT complete a 4-year degree
• U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or has demonstrated their intention to become a permanent resident of the U.S.
• Junior Standing in the fall of the next academic year with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong desire to pursue a doctoral degree
