Cross-disciplinary blocks
The Center offers cross-disciplinary blocks — sets of four courses that explore a particular topic or skill set, like “Indigenous Studies,” “Environmental Humanities,” or “Criminal Justice and the Carceral State.”
Blocks enable you to design your own education. Here’s how.
Build your own major/minor
You can use blocks to create self-designed majors and minors, either from scratch or through customizable pre-planned options, such as the Critical Identity Studies major and minor.
Earn Certificates of Completion
With the addition of a career-related experience, like an internship, you can earn a Certificate of Completion for any block that you’re not counting toward a major or minor. These certificates can be included on your résumé or CV.
