Financial Aid for International Students

International students are a valued and vital part of our campus community. A Beloit education and your experience here are worth the cost, and we are committed to making Beloit an affordable option.

International students from many countries gather together for a group photo on the steps of Chapin Hall.

All international applicants are considered for merit scholarships, and additional financial assistance is available on a competitive basis.

  • 95% of International Students receive financial aid.
  • $35,000 per year is the average scholarship awarded to international students.

Merit Scholarships

All international applicants are considered for merit scholarships that can total up to $45,000 per year. Merit scholarships are awarded based on the overall strength of student applications.

A limited number of full-tuition scholarships are available annually on a very competitive basis and based on applicants’ financial need as well as merit. The admissions committee will contact qualifying students.

Beloit does not offer full-ride scholarships, which are scholarships covering all costs of attendance.

Additional Financial Support

Admitted international students with demonstrated financial need that is not covered by merit scholarships may be offered loans through Beloit College to help manage the cost of attendance.

All international students are eligible for campus employment to help cover day-to-day expenses.

Need-Aware Admissions

Beloit College practices a need-aware admission policy. This means that an applicant’s demonstrated financial need is reviewed as part of the application evaluation process for admission. Beloit offers generous merit and need-based financial aid to international applicants, but need-based aid does become more competitive as an applicant’s demonstrated financial need increases.

Applying For Financial Aid

All applicants will be considered for merit-based scholarships.

Students who are not US citizens or permanent residents do not qualify for United States federal financial support and should not submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). US citizens who are studying abroad do qualify for federal aid consideration and should submit the FAFSA.

Whether or not you plan to apply for need-based financial aid, additional financial documentation is a required part of the application process.

To complete either of the Beloit College financial support forms, you will need to log into your Beloit College Applicant Status Page. Login information will be sent to you 24-48 hours after submitting your application.

Financial support forms and documentation should be submitted by, or shortly after, the application deadline for which you are applying. Supporting documentation or hard copy financial forms can be uploaded directly in the Beloit financial forms section of your Applicant Status Page or emailed to intadmis@beloit.edu.

Examples of financial support documentation include but are not limited to the following options:

  • Family bank/financial statement(s) or letter from the bank official
  • Documentation from a sponsoring person, organization, or government agency
  • Letter from an employer showing annual salary
  • Tax returns
